Registering a domain name and hosting one is commonly mistaken by a lot of people to be the same thing. They're in fact 2 different services - the domain address registration is the actual name and nothing more, while the hosted domains feature shows the number of already registered domain addresses that you can accommodate in the same website hosting account and have website files and emails for them. Your websites will function in exactly the same way regardless if the domain names are registered and hosted in one place or are registered with company A and pointed to company B. Simply registering a domain without hosting it will grant you ownership, but will not enable you to have a website if you don't host this domain name in some account so that records for it are created and it starts opening the content from that account.

Hosted Domains in Shared Hosting

Using our shared hosting plans you'll be able to host a different amount of domains, no matter whether you register them with our company or with some other company. In the event you host just a few domain addresses, you'll probably use a smaller amount of system resources, so you can go for a lower-end plan, that will be more affordable. If you want to add more domain addresses to your account later on, you can add extra slots via your website hosting Control Panel and keep the current plan or you can upgrade the whole plan and employ the added system resources for the new domain addresses. Either one of the upgrades requires just a couple of mouse clicks and is activated right away. Since registering and hosting a domain are 2 different things, there is no limit how many domain names you'll be able to register whatever the plan you’ve signed up for.

Hosted Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers

If you buy a semi-dedicated server plan from our company, you'll be able to host as many domain names as you want no matter whether you register them here or you already own them through a different company. We've decided not to restrict this feature since the semi-dedicated plans are very powerful and the load they can handle is pretty high, so it would not make sense to be able to host a restricted amount of domain names. The accounts are handled using the Hepsia CP, that will provide you with full control over your hosted domains. You can add a new domain address with a few clicks and everything is done very easily and intuitively, unlike rival Control Panels where you may even have to switch between separate accounts to control a couple of domain names. In case you register a new domain address on our end, it will be hosted automatically in your semi-dedicated account.

Hosted Domains in VPS Servers

Our VPS web hosting plans can be used to host unrestricted amount of domain names regardless of the hosting Control Panel that you select during the ordering procedure. You'll get an abundance of system resources at your disposal, so you can decide how many domains are going to use them. If you get the VPS with DirectAdmin or cPanel, you can create a separate hosting account for each domain and we do not have a set limit for the amount of accounts you can create. If you opt for our Hepsia Control Panel, all domains shall be managed through one account i.e. there will not be a main domain and add-on domains as with the other Control Panels. The second alternative may very well be more convenient if you don't need to provide access to a specific domain to other people and you do not want to switch between accounts to control the domains that you host on the server. Moreover, any new domain you register through Hepsia is going to be hosted automatically on the server without doing anything manually afterward.
