A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to inactive addresses under the same domain name. For example, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. Thus, you can receive emails from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation implies that the spam will not be delivered to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you host a domain name on our cloud platform and you have a shared hosting account, you’ll be able to activate the catch-all feature for any mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a few features, but it’s stunningly easy to use, so creating a catch-all mailbox takes only one single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve got will be displayed in this section alphabetically and you will just have to click on the "Catch-all" button for the concrete email address. Our system will warn you if there is already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you want to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either deactivate the latter feature or pick another mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and takes one more mouse click on the exact same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be configured with a few clicks in case you’ve got a semi-dedicated plan with us. The semi-dedicated account will be administered through our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to set up mailboxes with any domain name hosted there. To activate the catch-all option for a specific mailbox, you’ll need to click the button with the exact same name, which will be next to each mailbox. Disabling the feature can be achieved in the very same way and will not require more than a click either. In case the catch-all feature has already been enabled for a particular domain, you’ll get a warning notification. The same goes if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never disable or change anything automatically.
